4-year-old girl hit and killed by pickup truck in Mall of Georgia’s parking lot
On March 11, 2024, Abigail Hernandez along with her father and sister, were hit by a pickup truck while crossing a busy road at the Mall of Georgia on Sunday.
Abigail Hernandez, 4, along with her sister and father, were crossing Mall of Georgia Drive in front of Dick’s Sporting Goods and Von Maur when authorities said an 18-year-old driver of a 2004 White Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was turning left and hit them.
Gwinnett Police said the 31-year-old father and the 7-year-old girl were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Abigail was taken to Scottish Rite, where police said she died due to her injuries.
